If u care, as several Singaporeans hav shown they do these past 2 weeks, you will spend a minute of ur life in quiet contemplation at 6pm today.
Spend that quiet minute contemplatin the worst natural disaster in living memory.
Think abt the fragility of life, the power of mother nature, the death, the destruction, the sorrow, the despair.
Think abt the victims of the Dec26 Tsunami.
Singapore pays its respects today. The national one-minute of silence will follow an hour-long memorial service at Singapore Expo Hall 2.
Flags will be flown at half mast. Fellow Singaporeans will be urged to grieve, to remember the eight Singaporeans who hav died, the 16 who are still missing, the 15 who are still uncontactable, and the more than 160,000 people of all nationalities who lost their lives.

familiar? this excerpt is extracted frm The Newpaper todae.. well, no one cld predict the oncomin of this terrible disaster which had taken more than 100,000 lives of the Asian, wif some Europeans.. its sad. its heartbreakin. its devastatin. to see our fellow Asian mates' lives being taken away by e 30-m tall waters.. Us, Singaporeans, are lucky tat we din experience this.. n yet, we cldnt do anythin to stop e waters frm comin in to e coastal areas along e Indian ocean.. even those scientists frm Hawaii or so, havin equipped wif technologies to warned them on any tsunamis occurin, knew a disaster is goin to happen, n yet they are helpless bout it. why? coz e affected areas were developin countries, not havin equipped wif any warnin systems. or any technologies to receive any warnings.. sad.
juz imagine one dae u were at sentosa, n u saw e tides residin to e stage whereby u cld even see e reefs.. n 10mins later, a 30-m ht of water came poundin onto u, washin u away.. how wld u feel?
its been 2weeks since e tsunami strucked those areas.. over e daes, pp were searchin for their loved ones.. grievin over the deaths of their family. pp left homless. left w/o anythin.. parentless children n childless parents everywhere.. i can even feel their pain over e loss.. n yet, all we can do to lend a helpin hand is by donatin money, clothes, food, etc to them..
well, lets juz put our hearts together to pray for them, n keepin in silence to contemplate the deaths of e victims.. i believe, like wat cg said, god will light e way for them..
