alrite, today officially start work in NHC. my first attached venue is the echo lab at 44inpatient ward. din knoe it was the echo lab til when one of the medical technologist picked up the phone n said, " hello? echo lab." then i was like, oh shyt. echo lab = will see lay kian. errr the lao nu ren tat i'd been toking bout in my previous entries. tat fierce woman. she practically ignored me n thenmadi as if we were invisible. shruggs. well, at least there are still more nice pp ard in the echo lab.

morning session was rather boring. did echo on patients, in layman terms, its called sao miao. the med tech tat im attached to tat session did the sao miao on the patient, moving the sensor ard the patient's chest. n on the screen u can see the heart 'bom bom, bom bom, bom' beating. was rather vague at first, coz it was my first time seeing this kinda stuffs n i cldnt differentiate the heart wif the surroundings at first. chim sia, still can see the aortic pathway. the pulmonary veins etc. high tech. =/

din get to eat breakfast in the morning so i went working wif an empty stomach, n my stomach was growling pathetically during the morning session. really loud. n goodness, i really felt like im eating heaven's food when i bought duck rice during lunch. =/ hahas. other than tat, it was really boring during the morning session.

aftnoon got better. got attached to a fresh-grad frm sp cardiac tech student. she told us she's under bond for the scholarship she got during her sp days. ya, my course got a scholarship n a bond to NHC aft u grad. paying u $900 per mth while u're under the scholarship. tats nice, but til now my whole class still hadnt got any news bout it yet. lols.

yea, this person named junel was nice n friendly. hahs, at least better than in the morning. went to do holter stuffs wif her. she too agreed tat this is one boring job to do. but the starting pay was rather gd, wif a diploma she earned 1.6k per mth now as a fresh grad. n she said this course had only got one class in sp out of the whole singapore studying cardiac tech. which oso means the market will hav a higher demands on cardiac technologist. ya, its true. boring job but yet high demand in the market. i find it ironic. hahs. shruggs. i've still got 364 days to go. my itp ends 30th sept 2006. =(
